Pirate Pad

I was really impressed with learning about Pirate Pad.  I can see this being used in a classroom setting for students to share their ideas.  I remember in class how us as adults were fascinated to see each other's responses on the screen and can only imagine how kids would feel.  This seems to be a good medium for students who are shy and may not want to share their ideas out loud.  Some practice would be needed as well as role play to explain what appropriate responses would be.  I also liked the idea as a teache that it is free and would take some time to set up but once that's done it can be used.  If you haven't already done so check out piratepad.net and start sharing!

  1. I really liked the Pirate Pad webiste also. My husband teaches for PACyber and I always thought that his computer tools were so far away from what an average public school was able to use. With some of these new tools, such as Pirate Pad, technology can be used with the average classroom in the average public school. It's quite amazing!
